Crossing the Judean Desert to Massada, climb Massada by cable car to visit the remains of Herod’s Palace and the fortress, to see the storehouses, the inclined Citadel, the water cisterns, the roman ramp, the columbarium towers, the synagogue, the Byzantine church, the casemates, Herod’s private bathhouse, mosaic floors, the walls etc… .
Descend Massada and drive to Qumran, here, some 2,000 years ago, lived the Essenes or (BeYahad) a Jewish Sect; who wrote the famous Dead Sea Scrolls in exhibition in the shrine of the book in Jerusalem.
We will stop on the shores of the Dead Sea, at the foot of the Judean Hills for a unique experience a “swim” in the Dead Sea. The healing properties of the water of the Dead Sea have been known for millennia. Today we are using the area of the Dead Sea as a center for health and beauty. We are using the minerals of the Dead Sea for cosmetic products.
